Geisha & Scarecrow...BOO!

This is a picture of my boyfriend and I at a costume party last week. I'm a geisha and he's the scarecrow from the movie The Batman Begins (I made the mask!). We had a good time, but I got sick at the party so I couldn't really enjoy some fun drinking time...that's okay though since it was just fun dressing up. :)

GEOMETRIC vs ORGANIC life

I just finished creating a t-shirt design for the Design By Humans
10k T-shirt Design Contest! I'm designing it for my
boyfriendin hopes that I win and I'll give him the
money for school. :)

I tired to get a simple concept since I was short
on time.The whole idea I wanted to present was
a contrast between organic and geometric, but not
a huge contrast so each side looks somewhat similar
to each other. I personally don't like over-sized
prints on t-shirts like this, but after researching
Design by Humans website I found that the audience
seems to be very much into this style so I went
ahead and played with that.




Ascenders Logo Refines

Alright! I finished the refined versions of possible logos
for the Ascenders (a local band). Now they have to pick
one that they like best!

My boyfriend is a WINNER!

My boyfriend won the Little Big Planet Character Creation
Competition that was offered by dontpaniconline.com! Awesome!

Here's what the brief was for the competition:
Sony PlayStation have asked us to seek out the best Sackboy
character design, so we're asking you to show us your creations.
The best one, as chosen by Sony, will be cast as a limited edition
six-inch model and the lucky winner will also be rewarded with
a copy of the game and a PlayStation 3.

Ascenders

Currently I've been working on creating a logo for a local band called Ascenders.
These are some ideas I have so far. I'm refining 3 of them to help the band decide
on a final one. Their favorites so far are: 3, 6, 7. Color possibilities will be added
in this next stage. I should have them done by tomorrow (the refines) so you all
will see the next stage soon!

Handmade Chinese Box & Chopsticks Holder Set

I made these during my first year at art school. They were very time
consuming to make...VERY! Each box (not including the handmade
gold chains) took about 2hrs to make, once I got the procedure flow
down. This was my first touch on creating packaging comps. I will
take actual classes focused just on packaging design real soon. :)

Little Big Planet

You've all heard of the video game Little Big Planet that's coming out
in October, right? Well, their having a challenge (LittleBigChallenge 001)
that's letting you recreate their logotype. Sounds like fun to me, so I'm
going to try it out!

Summer Break Designing

Summer semester ended so I'm just relaxing, but still doing some side work

to keep me busy. This is a type 1 assignment I did last year, but a few days ago
I decided to make a mini catalog version of it...my 1st specimen! :P
